We have been talking about team and organisational resilience, but let's focus on career resilience for a moment. Career resilience brings a different dimension to the discussion on resilience, but it is no less important. For the individual, career resilience can make the difference between:
Now, more than ever, career resilience is not an option! There is actually a body of research that has been done on resilience - what builds resilient individuals, resilient careers, resilient teams, and resilient organisations. This research shows that resilience is not an inborn trait, but a characteristic or ability that can be built up - or eroded - by our choices, actions and behaviours.
What does this mean in practical terms?
